Rhetorical Genre Analysis

Textual Genres Rachel Egan might write or talk about as an Athletic Director: Scheduling - To make sure everyone is on track and on the same page. The audience is the  Athletic teams and their coaches.  Recruitment Pitch - Purpose and audience would be to get high school students or students looking to transfer to come to Frankenstein U.  To do list - This is to make sure she doesn't forget what to do that day or that week.  Pregame Talks- Purpose would be to get the team hyped and ready for their game. The audience could be to an athletic team or coach.  Hiring/Firing/Conflict Emails - Purpose is pretty clear, it's to either hire/fire someone or sometimes deal with conflicts that are going on. Audience is to the leaders of the Departments she runs or in the case of conflicts could be players on an athletic team.

3 Potential Jobs That Catch My Eye

Basketball Head Coach at Penn State Abington - This job is exactly what I've wanted to do ever since I got into College. I've grown up around basketball my entire life so for me, I think it would be amazing to give the knowledge I know about the game, to kids to better themselves. A coach isn't just someone who inspires you on the court but also off the court. I had coaches that taught me life lessons and I think if I could change some kids view not only on basketball but also in life, I would be achieving my job. Male Nurse at Jefferson Health Hospital  - A male nurse it a very difficult job to get, but it is very interesting to me. I think this job is interesting to me because I would be helping and saving peoples lives. Helping people in anyway is something that I always try to do but helping people in the way that nurses do would be extremely amazing to me. Director of Homeless Services for the Gov't of Phila - Once again this job is interesting to me because ...
